Uniform Requirements
Evans partners with Academix Apparel for uniform items. Evans sports clothes, rain jackets, boys ties, and certain other items are sold at Evans through the Spirit Shop or front desk.
Girls Uniform
Notes: Sailor dresses require dickeys and ties, which should be tied in a sailor square knot. Tennis shoes can have red/white/blue, and should be suitable for running at recess and sports. Hair accessories can be red, white, and/or blue.
Boys Uniform
Notes: Boys ties are specially made in England and can be purchased at the Evans front desk. JK/K boys dress uniform shirt to be tied in a sailor square knot. Boys will need white trousers for spring programs. Tennis shoes can have red/white/blue, and should be suitable for running at recess and sports.
Please use a ballpoint pen on the label to add your child's name.

Sports Uniform (Grades 1–6)
- Navy shorts (not bike shorts)
- Evans sport shirt (offered in Spirit Shop)

- Optional: navy sweatshirt or sweatpants
Additional Guidelines
- Students dress and appearance must be neat and clean.
- All items must be clearly marked with your child's last name.
- Only Academix uniform or Evans' Spirit Shop sweater and fleece jackets are acceptable.
- Navy sweatpants are for sports only.
- Dyed hair and extreme haircuts are not allowed.
- Boys' hair must have traditional short haircuts.
- Girls' long hair should be pulled back with ribbon or barrette.
- Hair ribbons and accessories must be red, white, or blue.
- No tattoos, body piercing, or colored nail polish.
- No earrings for boys — no dangling earrings for girls.
- NO SMART WATCHES, no necklaces, or bracelets.
- Dress length should be no shorter than extended fingertips.
- Girls should wear bike shorts under their dresses, and the shorts should not show.
- Shoes must be clean and laces need to be tied.
- Boys' shirts must be tucked in, except during sports.
- Shabby or outgrown uniforms need to be replaced, regardless of the time of year.
- Children should not wear their sports uniforms under their regular uniforms.
Regular Uniforms are worn most Monday through Thursdays.
Dress Uniforms are worn most Fridays and on special occasions (unless notified otherwise). Evans typically begins dress uniform Fridays in October, when the weather cools off.
Sports clothes for the week should be brought to school each Monday (Grades 1–6).
